So apparently when Brad and Company left Texas, it wasnt for good, rather to visit his Grandma in Oklahoma!

SHAWNEE — Brad Pitt has not lived in Shawnee since he was a baby, but the town started buzzing when the actor and his girlfriend, Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie, landed their private plane for a few hours on Thursday for a birthday visit with Pitt's grandmother, Betty Russell.

Pitt's plane flew in from Austin, Texas, and landed at Shawnee Regional Airport about 11:15 a.m. Thursday, with Pitt and Jolie spending time with several family members who gathered for Russell's birthday.

Russell said time with her famous grandson is rare.

"Not often at all,” Russell said. "No, I guess I've not seen him since I went out for the wedding when he married Jennifer (Aniston).”

Pitt, 44, was born in Shawnee, but his family relocated to Springfield, Mo., shortly after his birth.
The actor will appear later this year in Joel and Ethan Coen's new film, "Burn After Reading,” and David Fincher's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

Russell said the family was able to pack a lot into the visit before Pitt and Jolie left Shawnee about 3 p.m.

She said he didn't bring any special presents — just his presence.

"Oh no,” she said. "Just himself. And I got to meet the great-grandson. That's what was so good.”
